1940s Service shoes in Boanil Brown

1940s Service shoes in Boanil Brown
These fantastic service shoes are inspired by the lower everyday shoes worn by women during WW2.
Nurses, WAC, Wrens etc.
The leather is a lovely quality high shine brown calf leather called "Boanil", very similar to 1940's originals.
These come in two heel heights: a lower one at 3cm high, a nice easy height for everyday use, and 4cm high for a little added elegance. The shoes are made with a leather sole and have an anti-slip protection to make these last longer.
The leather and manufacture is of the best quality. They are handmade in Portugal and are constructed with Goodyear welt soles, sewn together with a cork insulation inside.
No plastic involved, they are sustainable and should last a really long time. The vintage look leather will age beautifully.
With good care, these boots could last a lifetime. Goodyear welt soles can be endlessly replaced!

Our shoes are true to size in length, but this last is elegant and can come up snug in our regular fit on some people. Our wide fit corresponds to a size up in width, and is very subtle to preserve the look of the shoe.
When in between sizes, always go for the bigger of the two sizes.
Your feet are…
🦶🏾SLIM: If you have a narrow and petite foot, then our regular last in your usual size is for you.
🦶🏾 REGULAR: If you have regular to wide feet, always bear in mind that these are vintage reproductions, and can be snug, so a wide could be more comfortable. If you have regular feet but plan to wear these with thicker socks or like to have a bit more room then choose the wide fit.
🦶🏾 WIDE: If you have wide or sensitive feet we recommend to choose the wide fit.
🦶🏾 Extra WIDE: If you have much wider feet, or intend to use any orthotic insoles, we recommend to go up and choose the wide fit.

If you are still unsure, you can send us your foot measurements, and tell us more about the sizes you usually wear so we can advise you.
The best thing to do is to draw an outline of your foot, and then draw a rectangular box around it. If you then give us the measurements of the width and length of your foot we can advise you best that way! See the “step by step” image below.
